Hi, hello! Welcome to my happy little section of the internet. Chaos Styled is about taking all that crazy that we like to call life and making it work for us. Chaos doesn’t have to be messy and also doesn’t have to define us. We’re just over here trying to love ourselves and trying to raise good humans. Take a little look around, stay awhile, join my email list to be all up in the know of new posts and happenings!
Do you dread laundry day every week?
Does it feel like all you do is wash your clothes to then leave them folded (or not, let’s be honest) in the baskets where you then rifle through them for something to wear?
Maybe you have the signature pile of laundry that moves from the bed to the chair and then back to the bed instead of being folded?
It just feels like too much sometimes, right? What if I told you that I had a solution for you? A solution that MAY sound just a tiny bit crazy, but in the long run could save you some serious sanity?
I totally get it. We are busy, we are tired, we feel blah. We want some new clothes and accessories but we are feeling overwhelmed about actually getting out to buy them. Shopping online is also overwhelming.
Enter the clothing subscription service.
You keep seeing the ads for them, right? They’re popping up everywhere telling you about how they will make you stylish and make your life easier and this, that and the next thing. And the clothes they always show are SO cute, am I right? Can I just buy that outfit, right there? Well, if you’re on the fence, let me talk to you about why you MAY want to give a clothing service like Wantable a try.
Lesson 1 – the collection of clothes that they send to you – they call it an Edit.
My husband, Nishant, his love language is chocolate chip cookies. He often complains to me that my cookies are not good enough, too crunchy, too thin, whatever. I actually adapted this recipe from a different one (which were my previous best chocolate chip cookies to date) and I was worried about how these would come out. Upon tasting these cookies, he told me, in no uncertain terms, that these were the best cookies I have ever made and I’m not allowed to make any other kind of cookie going forward. Ever.
Something you may or may not know about me is that I love birthdays and I really do love to bake. If we could eat baked goods as meals every day, I’d have this Homemaking thing down pat! I also love to decorate and make things pretty. I actually designed bedding for a short stint as my first gig out of college.
Anyhow, I love birthdays and other holidays around here because it gives me a chance to practice my baking and my decorating. This includes my relatively newfound love for piping bags and tips.
We’ve all done it. Or at least I’ve done it and I’ll admit it to you. Whether you nod in acknowledgment or not is completely personal and your business. We literally have nothing to wear. We have things in our closets that are our size, or at least that used to be, and they just don’t fit right. And we put them on, just like we did the day before, because they are our clothes and they are the clothes that we have to wear.
I can be honest with you, right? I mean, I always have been before, so why not now? Normally I’m all about telling you how size doesn’t matter and how your size doesn’t define you and that you’re more than a number. But for this specific conversation, let’s talk about size.
